R’n’B
R’n’B has African-American roots and, similarly to Hip-hop, it
is not only a dance but also a music style. Its name is an
abbreviation of the music style Rhythm and Blues, combining jazz,
gospel and blues features. R’n’B started to emerge around 1940 and
the exact term was coined by the journalist Jerry Wexler.
R’n’B is closely connected to the text of the music and follows
mainly from feelings. It has theoretically no basic steps, as the
steps constantly change and modernize and it is up to every dancer
what steps they will make up and how they will use them. However,
even despite that fact, we can find steps which are used as the
basic steps and the dancer can then add his own ideas to it. All
dance groups dedicated to R’n’B are unique because R’n’B is just
about originality and improvisation.
Even at present there are many successful singers and dancers
attracted by R’n’B. Be attracted to this dance style as well and
come to our dance school to enjoy moments full of emotions and
pleasant dance.
