Lyrical Hip Hop

Or hip hop with "emotion" appeared for the first time and earned its reputation during the "So You Think You Can Dance" competition. It emphasizes choreography and performance. Adam Shankman, a choreographer and one of the Competition jedges, gave it this name. Throught their movements, the dancers "tell" beatiful and romantic stories according to the texts of songs. They represent certain characters and with slow, fluent movements, dramatic falls and bounces, stops, isolations and various twists inspired by contemporary dance they bring the song´s messages to life. Lyrical hip hop is not only movement for the sake of mevement. It tells a story - that is what makes it exceptional.
